Old Capital Soccer League (OCSL)
Old Capital Soccer League is the soccer league for Baldwin County, Georgia. OCSL is a youth affiliate of Georgia Soccer, the authorized state youth and adult association for Georgia. OCSL home fields are located at the Baldwin County Soccer Complex on Highway 212 & Meeks Rd. OCSL offers two seasons of play, fall and spring.
Rec Teams
OCSL offers soccer opportunities for recreational as well as select players. Recreational teams are offered for the following leagues: U6 (for ages 4-5), U8 (ages 6-7), U10 (ages 8-9), and U12 (ages 10-11). The cut-off age for leagues is Aug. 1st . However, if a player is advanced for his or her age or if parents would like for siblings to play on the same team, parents may request that younger kids play with the next older age group. All teams are coached by volunteers, usually a parent of one or more of the players. Referees are provided for U8, U10, and U12 games. Practices are held on weekday evenings. All practices and games are played at the Baldwin County Soccer Complex. Games are typically scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well as Saturday mornings.
Select Teams
OCSL also has teams playing in Georgia Soccer select soccer leagues. Sometimes called traveling teams, these teams practice and play home games at the Baldwin County Soccer Complex, but travel to surrounding counties and around the state to play other select teams. Tryouts for teams are held in the spring, but players may be added during the season as space is available.
